Teacher Certification and Licensure | World Language Concentration

This webpage is dedicated to providing details about the World Language Concentration available within the SESP's Teacher Licensure Pathways. In collaboration with Gabriela Langendorf, Manager of Teacher Certification and Licensure Academic Adviser, and Rebekah Stathakis, Director of Teacher Preparation Programs, the LRC has partnered with SESP to offer information sessions and resources for prospective educators interested in this unique concentration.

SESSIONS AND RESOURCES

This in-person session showcased opportunities for students to become a licensed world language teacher at Northwestern. Illinois licensure can be stacked on top of an undergraduate degree, completed through an accelerated master's degree, or completed through a stand-alone MSEd degree.

In this information session, attendees from a variety of languages learned about Northwestern’s Teacher Certification Program and its concentration on world languages. In addition, colleagues were able to establish connections with SESP for potential future collaboration.
